Balanced Upgrade Cable for Sennheiser HD598, HD560S, HD599, HD558, HD518, HD569 & HD579 — OFC Copper
The Sound of Excellence
The Sennheiser HD500-series headphones — HD598, HD560S, HD599, HD569, HD579, HD558, and HD518 — use a proprietary 2.5mm locking mono connector on each earcup. Unlocking balanced output from these headphones requires a cable built specifically for this connector geometry, correctly wired to carry a differential balanced signal rather than a standard single-ended one.
The Headgear Audio Balanced Upgrade Cable for Sennheiser HD5XX Series does exactly this. It is handcrafted in Mumbai using 24AWG OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) conductors — the same copper grade used across our Leo OFC headphone cable line — correctly wired for balanced differential output and terminated in your choice of 4.4mm Pentaconn, 2.5mm TRRS, or 4-Pin XLR.
The upgrade from a standard single-ended HD5XX cable to a properly wired balanced cable delivers measurable and audible improvements — lower noise floor, better channel separation, and noticeably more dynamic headroom, particularly with balanced DAPs and desktop amplifiers that implement their balanced output with genuine symmetry. The HD599 and HD560S, in particular, open up considerably when driven balanced.
Sleeved in tangle-free nylon braided paracord — rot, mold, UV, and mildew resistant. Standard length 1.2m. Custom lengths available on request via WhatsApp.
