The lowest B on a 5-string bass sits at 30.9 Hz. The lowest note on a piano is 27.5 Hz. The HD 660S2 was re-engineered to reach further into that register than the HD 660S it replaces — a revised coil matched to the 300 Ω impedance, higher magnetic force, and a more compliant surround that drops the resonant frequency to 70 Hz.
The result is low end you feel without it ever crowding the mid-range the 600-series built its reputation on.

How is this different from the HD 660S?+
A revised voice coil, higher magnetic force and a more compliant driver surround extend the low end down to a 70 Hz resonant frequency — the HD 660S2 digs noticeably deeper into sub-bass while keeping the same 300 Ω, easy-to-drive design.
Will it work straight out of my phone or DAP?+
At 300 Ω it's designed for a dedicated headphone amp or DAC — a phone or laptop headphone jack will play it, but won't get it to full volume or its best dynamics. Pair it with anything from a desktop amp to a portable DAC/amp dongle.
Can I use my existing Headgear Audio cable with it?+
Yes — it uses the same dual-3.5mm detachable connector as the HD600/HD650/HD580 family, so any Leo, Athena or Litsa cable built for that family fits directly.
What does the warranty actually cover?+
