The Headgear Audio Leo OFC Replacement Cable for ATH-M50x is handcrafted in Mumbai using 24AWG OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) conductors — a significant step up from the standard copper used in the OEM cable. OFC minimises the micro-resistive barriers between copper crystals that occur in standard copper wire, resulting in a slightly more transparent and dynamic signal path. For a headphone as capable as the M50x, this matters.
The headphone-end connector is a gold-plated 2.5mm locking TRS plug — exactly matching Audio-Technica's proprietary locking socket on the M50x, M40x, and M70x. The locking mechanism ensures the cable stays firmly in place even with enthusiastic movement. The amplifier end terminates in a standard gold-plated 3.5mm TRS plug, compatible with every standard headphone output.
The outer sleeving is tangle-free Mil-Spec 550lb nylon paracord — rot, mold, UV, and mildew resistant. Available in 7 sleeving colours: Red Tracer, Blue Tracer, Black, Grey, Olive, Military Green, and Black & White. All colours perform identically — the cable's OFC conductor and gold-plated connectors are the same across every variant.

Audio Technica R70-X replacement cable
Fantastic upgrade cable for the sennheiser hd 820. This has elevated the 820 to almost the level of detail as the open back hd 800s! The musical instruments sound so much more realistic now. Not going back to the stock cable after using this! Absolutely brilliant!
Opened up the Sennheiser HD 800 further! Adding a touch of warmth to the sound. Not going back to the stock cable. Although I do wish the cable was a tad bit longer.

This Litsa Copper v2 cable is going extremely well with my Sennheiser HD650.
It adds good body and weight to the overall sound, and due to this the treble is now very musical and not piercing any longer. The details in the music are all present, minus the sharpness that was there with the stock cable. The minor background instruments’ sounds and little squeaks here and there are all heard very clearly and nicely.
Additionally, the imaging and separation are top-notch, as expected from a high-quality copper cable.

Why the 2.5mm locking connector matters
Audio-Technica's M-series headphones use a 2.5mm locking TRS connector — a single-entry socket in the left earcup that locks the cable in place via a twist-and-lock mechanism. This is an Audio-Technica proprietary format — not the same as the standard 2.5mm TRRS balanced connector used on DAPs and some amplifiers.
The locking mechanism means the cable cannot be accidentally pulled out during use — ideal for studio and DJ applications where cable tension is unavoidable. The headphone connector on this cable exactly matches this proprietary socket with the same locking thread.
Important: This cable terminates in 3.5mm TRS single-ended at the amplifier end — it is not a balanced cable. The M50x, M40x, and M70x use a single-entry connector wired for single-ended output only.
